Montgomery County Fire, Rescue, & Safety Service Providing Virtual Home Safety Checks

The African American Health Program (AAHP) aims to reduce the risks of home falls for Montgomery County’s Aging population. We need to be certain that their safety at home will be prioritized, especially during this pandemic when our homes are providing so much for us (office, place of worship, fitness center, etc.)

Montgomery County Fire, Rescue, & Safety Service will provide virtual home safety checks including checking smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, reviewing fire prevention tips, discussing injury prevention, and other health and safety-related activities. We welcome caregivers and family members to attend!

Please share this information with anyone that can benefit from this program. Have them contact Monique Gardner, AAHP Aging Coordinator at 240-773-0349 to schedule an appointment. Please see the AAHP Fall Prevention Program flyer here.

The African American Health Program is funded and administered by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services and implemented by McFarland & Associates, Inc.
