The new normal? The psychological impact of COVID19 and post COVID reality on villages and their members

Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services and Montgomery County Villages Development Program will host a panel forum and community discussion on “The new normal? The psychological impact of COVID-19 and post COVID reality on villages and their members” on Friday, July 2, 1pm on Zoom. Register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81758259106

Seniors are more vulnerable to severe coronavirus illness and have reported higher levels of anxiety and depression throughout the pandemic. AAHP encourages you to get informed on how seniors can empower themselves with insights on how to navigate their mental health in a post-COVID word. Discussion will include:

  1. Social Isolation by choice (the new introverts) 
  2. Differentiate normal response to an abnormal situation and red flags for concern 
  3. PTSD, what it is and how it manifests 
  4. Continued/heightened anxiety, depression 
  5. What can the village do
